Kittens, A Haircut, and a Cowboy!

Back in April, J.J. and Granddaddy's cat had kittens.  In a feed sack.  In the garage.  These kittens have provided Kaden with endless hours of entertainment.  This is him and his Daddy checking out the new baby kittens.
Kaden definitely has the Best Dad.  Lance does everything he wants to do, and Kaden knows it!
Kaden loves those kittens!  As did his Momma when she was little, I used to carry cats around all the time.

I guess you can say I have been working ninety to nothing for weeks and weeks and have just been 'surviving' and trying to make it until the end of the school year.  Around the third week of May I decided I needed a change.  A new Kelly!  So I cut my hair.  10 inches.  Then a few days later, I got two more inches cut off!  Crazy right?  But, I really LOVE it short and it is SO E-A-S-Y!
And I love that with short hair I can put clips and bows and flowers in my hair when it's straight.  These pictures were taken before I got more cut off!  It's shorter than this now.
Lance and I had a date night.  We went to see Pirates of the Caribbean the night it opened in 3D, went to the winery for dinner and desert.  It was a much needed date night and we know we have to start doing this more often.  We need a babysitter!!!
And who wouldn't want to babysit this cute little cowboy?
Meet Lucky.  Lucky is Kaden's horse, and Lucky goes everywhere with Kaden.  This horse belonged to my niece Emily before it was Kaden's.  Kaden wears his cowboy hat and has a rope that he ropes off of!  He also has a rocking bull that he rides, just like a real cowboy.  He rides it, gets bucked off, and over dramatizes and slow motion plays the falls for us.  He is a HOOT!  He has finally gotten big enough to watch a real movie.  We have been watching the Toy Story movies.
I just love this boy!
And, this just about brings us to the end of the school year post!  Coming Soon!!!

Easter, Birthday Party, Tonya's visit, and more...

Does it count if I post this two months after the fact?  Ha!  I am trying really hard to back track and not miss out on anything important.  We were surprised by my step sister Tonya's visit for Easter Weekend.  She lives in Arizona and we had not seen each other in over a year.  Tonya and her immediate family were in a horrible vehicle accident the same day that Montana passed away, January 31, 2009.  It was a horid day for my entire family.  Tonya lost her husband, L.R. and her brother, Brian Lee, my step brother that day in the accident.  God help her, I don't know how she has been so strong any other way than to have had God's hand at her side.  Tonya, her Mom and Lewis (Tonya and L.R.'s son, 2 1/2 years old at the time of the accident) were also in the wreck and are still slowly recovering from the physical and mental pains caused from the accident.  I can truly say that God has sustained Tonya through this most difficult time and she is such a testimony for people to live by.  She knows and shares with me just how important it is to be happy and to be living your life for today, because we are never guaranteed a future here on earth.  The only future we are guaranteed is in Heaven with God.  This is just our temporary home.  I did not mean to bring up such a sad story here, but I wanted to share in Tonya's new joys as well.  God has brought Tonya happiness again, and she is engaged to be married soon.  Her fiance, A.J., loves her and understands and helps her through the grieving process, and he is a wonderful father to little Lewis.  It makes my heart happy that God has brought someone to Tonya to share her life with.

Kaden wasn't overly excited about hunting Easter eggs this year!
These pictures speak for themselves!
This is my nephew Lewis hunting egss!

Aunt Tonya playing peek a boo with the boys with a sheet.  Funny thing about this picture, Lewis is 4 1/2 and Kaden is 2!  They are the same size!  Kaden and Lewis had the BEST time together and played so well.  I so wish we lived closer so they could be close as they grow up.
I am so happy Tonya visited.  I love having her here and can't wait to be together again soon.
This is Lance and Kaden at a weekend livestock show with me.  I was so happy they came and I love this picture of my two boys.  They were both watching the cattle show.
We went to a birthday party in April for a certain little friend of Kadens.

Mr. Hayden Luke turned 2!
He had a fabulous party!  His Momma went all out and fed us all a full BBQ dinner, cake and ice cream.  Here are some pictures from the GREAT party!  Kaden loved all Hayden's toys.
The CUTEST Decor!

Kaden eating at the little table.
Hayden had a cake and cupcakes, they were fabulous tasting too!  Kaden ate 2 cupcakes, I couldn't believe it!

The birthday boy!
Eating up those cupcakes!
shooting some hoops!
Riding the tri-cycle.
Hayden got this tractor for his birthday and Kaden kind of liked it a lot and took over for a while to play!  :)
Thank you, Smith family for having us!  It was FUN!
