Mo Mo

I have had a really ruff week of missing my Mo Mo. That's Montana Lane. Montana passed away two days before Kaden was born, so it has been two months already. All of my nephews called Montana, Mo Mo, and it had started being his nick name right before he passed. The kids miss him, the adults miss him, we all miss him. I look at his things and cry. Kim had passed on a lot of Montana's things to me for Kaden. I LOVE that I have them, and I am keeping them all to give back to Kimberly for her to do with what she chooses one day.
Montana, has been sending me messages this week. And, some may think that is crazy, but I really have felt it straight from him. While working on Kaden's baby book the other day, I was trimming down pictures to fit in the baby shower section. I was going to cut out the picture of the punch bowl, trim everything out of the picture except the punch bowl, and there in the corner of the picture on the floor is Montana's diaper bag that reads Montana Lane. I had never noticed this before.

Also, my Mom shared a very special relationship with Montana. He LOVED his Aunt Jettie. He called her, "Je, Je" It was the SWEETEST thing to hear! He loved her SO much! My Mom is in a lot of my pictures of Mo Mo, but it's just her hand or a part of her. This is the only picture I have of her holding him, that shows her whole body and his. It's a picture of my shower food table, so it isn't a great picture of the people, but I know Mom will like this...




There are feelings in this world that someone would never be able to explain to you until you are a Mom. I am heart broken for Kim, because I can not imagine the pain she is in missing her precious baby boy. I know now the love of a mother, and it is something that I pray I never get to experience in this life time, to loose a child. I am speechless it hurts so bad to think of the pain she must go through daily missing Montana. With each memory, with each event that reminds her of him, I'm sure there is happiness in the memory and sadness because she misses him so much. He was a PRECIOUS baby.

I stopped at the cemetary for the first time to visit him the other day. All the heifers in the pasture next to his grave came and stood on the fence row and Mooed. I stood out there and would have looked and sounded like a crazy person if anyone would have heard me. I stood there and yelled, "Moo Tow, Moo Tow!" Mo Mo said that everytime he saw a cow. He loved cows. And, now he has LOTS of cows watching over him.

Happy 2 Month Birthday Kaden Angus!

Our baby boy is two months old today! I have been attempting to take a good 2 month picture this afternoon. But, he has been sleeping, and when he isn't, he isn't very cooperative. So, I am going to post a 2 month picture tomorrow! I can't believe he is already two months old. He is growing EVERY day and changing so fast. We are having a blast with him.
I am eating a piece of the 30th Anniversary Chocolate Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! OMG!!!!!!! YUMMY!!!!!!

Our Weekend with Daddy!

We were very thankful to get a whole weekend with Dadddy this week. YEAH!!! We all had a great time. On Saturday Lance & I went shopping all over Dallas. We bought several CUTE things for Kaden. Imagine that??? Here's the first!



While in Addison, TX, we ate at FREEBIRD'S WORLD BURRITO for lunch. MY FAVORITE PLACE!!! (However, I have to admit, there is NO location better than the original ones in College Station, TX!) Freebird's are now scatterd around the state in Dallas, Houston and Austin, and of course, College Station...If you've never had Freebird's you just don't know what your missing in life! yUM-o!!! When we were leaving Freebird's this dog was parked beside our car. LOL!!!



Is that not the cutest thing??? His owner was his passenger! LOL!

On Saturday, it was C-O-L-D and windy! So, we all dressed warmly! Here are some family pictures!

Then, on Sunday it was sunny, warm and very pretty outside!!! So, we dressed the part! Kaden & I were so cool we had to wear shades!!!




We took Kaden to meet his great grandmother Mabe for the first time. This is Lance's Grandmother. She is 98 years old!!! She was SO happy to meet Kaden and hold him!










Granddaddy Mabe (Lance's Dad) can not wait to get this boy big enough to play with! Look at this!

In other news....I found a new pediatrician. Which was a challenge! I was not at all happy with the peditrician we started with, but now we are hoping for a much better experience. Kaden goes Wednesday for his 2 month well check and shots! Then, we will be getting out of the house...Yip-he!!! Hopefully, we have moved past flu and RSV season now. We plan to go to church next Sunday for our first time with Kaden, and I'm really excited about that. Then, the much DREADED news...I go back to work next Monday the 6th of April! Uuuugggghhh! This is my last week at home with my sweet baby. :(
I go to the doctor today for some post partum issues, hopefully we can get me all fixed soon too! That's about it folks! Hope you all had a GREAT weekend!

14 pounder!

Lance & I were shocked on Wednesday when we measured and weighed Kaden. He measures exactly 24 inches. He's two feet tall! And, he weighs 14 pounds! He's only 7 weeks old! He has started wearing his 3 month clothes, and size 2 diapers. Our little baby is growing up TOO fast! Here are some of his moments from the week!



This is an outfit that Kim bought him last week, its a 3 month, sorry Kim but this was a one time wearer...the shirt is too small!!!










This is my precious baby boy this morning snuggling with Mommy in bed. He is so tired from our road trip, and all he did was SLEEP the whole time!

Road Trip Weekday!

No joke! Lance & I decided to take Kaden man on his first road trip in the BIG truck this week. We left out Tuesday night and returned LATE Wednesday night. It was really good to get out and we LOVED spending some QUALITY time with Daddy. It was not bad at all being in the truck, it's just like being in a camper or motor home. I layed in the back on the bed the whole time and watched movies, napped, read, and played on the computer. Not to bad! (Except the bumpiness of the road and the uncomfortable mattress on the bed!) Kaden rode in the front with Lance in his car seat. HE LOVED IT! He slept, and slept, and slept some more. Only waking to eat about every four hours and sometimes longer than that and we had to wake him. Here's our Kaden going down the road!

And, yes, I was on the trip too! I had to post this next picture because my glasses are all funky in the picture and Lance & I joked that I look like I have super powers or something....(Excuse how RUFF I look on this trip...No makeup or fixed hair and comfort clothes only!)



Along the way we stopped several places! The first, Portales New Mexico. Make sure and read this sign! LOL!


Then, on our way back home we stopped in Lubbock, TX to eat at my cousin Dwayne's BBQ place. This place is called Tom & Bingo BBQ and it is YUM-O! If you are ever in Lubbock look it up and get yourself a GREAT sliced or chopped beef smoked sandwich! But, get there early because he closes at 3:30 p.m. or when he sells out for the day! I called my cousin Michele and she and her new baby, Tevin, met us at Tom and Bingo's so we could meet each others babies!







Michele and I went through our pregnancies together. Only I was two weeks ahead of Michele, she was supposed to be due February 12, and I was due on February 4th. She ended up having her baby January 27th and me having mine February 2nd! So, little Tevin is OLDER than Kaden, but of course, he didn't weigh what Kaden weighed at birth. Tevin weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces (I believe) at birth and Kaden 9 pounds, 3 ounces.

This week in these pictures, Kaden weighs 14 pounds at 7 weeks old! And, Tevin weighs 9 pounds at 2 months old! Tevin now weighs what Kaden did at birth! So, my kid looks TWICE his size in the pictures! I told michele we will have to send Tevin our clothes we outgrow!

Overall, we had a GREAT trip! WE LOVED SPENDING TIME WITH DAD!

Seven Weeks Today!

We have officially made it to week seven now. Wow! This kid is growing like a weed so to speak! (Notice I said kid, he is getting huge!!!) I want him to slow down a little bit and stay little a little while. He has been in diaper size 2 since week 6 and is in size 0-3 month clothes, but some (a lot) are to short for him already. So, we will soon be in 3 month sized clothes, and he already needs a size 2 shoe.
I have been trying to put all his outfits on him because I know they are going to go bye-bye soon enough. Here's Kaden this morning at 7 weeks old!
