Week 21

Week 21, only 19 more weeks to go! Can anyone see where 18 pounds has gone so far? I'm starting to feel heavy in the belly department.
This little boy is so active I'm surprised you can't see him moving in pictures of my belly! What a neat experience!

I put this shelf up all alone yesterday! My baby boy has a dresser, some hangings on the wall, a baby rocking chair his daddy bought for him, and no furniture yet! Baby boys toddler rocker from his Daddy!

My little kicker

My little baby boy, who remains nameless because I can not find a name that I like well enough to call him for life, is kicking me like crazy! When I get in bed and lay down, (which is often, because all I want to do is sleep, I'm SO TIRED!)when I go pee, when I eat, He starts flipping and kicking! I guess anything that interferes with his space limitations makes him get active and kick. He also kicks the crap out of me when I sneeze! I guess that scares him! He is the most active little thing,a nd I feel like I am really bonding with him right now, except when he hurts me. I love this little baby so much! I can't imagine what he will look like and what his personality will be. But, I get the feeling he's not going to be very layed back or calm! LOL!
I'm getting huge, weighed in at 153 this morning. That's 18 pounds since pre-pregnancy weight! No wonder I'm so tired all the time. I also love eating right now, which I'm sure has contributed to the weight gain as well. I'm trying to eat healthy, but the bad stuff just seems to get in the way. Oooopppps! Did I eat 6 mini-kit kats just now? Halloween candy sucks! I have been sick with CRUD from school and have been home Friday mid-morning through today (Monday). I left work Friday with a fever and congestion, sneezing, coughing, etc. My dr. started me on a Z-Pack Friday afternoon and I take my last of that antibiotic tomorrow. I'm feeling better as far as the sickness itself goes, but my body is still achy and I feel like you do when you have the flu and you just want to sleep. I've pretty well slept for two days straight and I'm ready to go back to bed right now. I'm planning to go back to work tomorrow...uuugggghhh....but I still just don't want to. In fact, I wish I didn't have to work at all right now. I'm not a real pleasant person to be around right now. Poor kids that I teach!

20 weeks!

Welcome to the Pregnancy Week-by-Week NewsletterPregnancy Week 20 Congratulations, Kelly! You’re 20 Weeks Pregnant. You're at about the midpoint of your pregnancy. Your baby measures about 5.6 to 6.4 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces. He can hear sounds by now – so talk to your baby often. Baby will even cover his ears with his hands if a loud sound is made near you, and he may even become startled and "jump." Your baby is moving often, too -- twisting, turning, wiggling, punching and kicking. Can you feel him? Your uterus is just about even with your navel and your waistline has pretty much disappeared. But don't worry, it is only temporary! Hair is beginning to grow on your baby's head and lanugo, a soft fine hair, covers his or her shoulders, back, and temples. This hair protects your baby and is usually shed at the end of the baby's first week of life.
Your baby's skin is covered with a whitish coating called vernix caseosa. This "cheesy" substance, thought to protect baby's skin from long exposure to the amniotic fluid, is shed just before birth.
You may begin to feel your baby move, since he or she is developing muscles and exercising them. This first movement is called quickening.
By the end of the fifth month, your baby is about 10 inches long and weighs from 1/2 to 1 pound.

Half Way Baked!

Look at this BELLY! Our Baby Boy is growing like crazy this week!

In this bottom picture, my shirt is just almost getting to short! LOL!

Here's our half way baked baby, half way done. In 3 days I will hit week 20! Which means I am half way there! My kids at school told me today that I was looking much bigger. So, I decided to take a few pics in my purple shirt and show you all how much a belly can grow in a little over a week! I am 19 weeks, 5 days in these pictures, I'm getting BIG! The baby is VERY active. Lance has gotten to feel him poking me and Kim has also felt him. I have gained some weight now. I'm weighing in at 150 this week, starting weight of 135. My heart is pounding harder these days (it's almost scary hard) and I feel short of breath a lot, especially while talking/reading in my classroom. I have to take a rocking chair to school because the standing all day is KILLING me already. I'm exhausted when I get home. We finished the 3rd week of school today.

Your Kicking ME!

I can't believe I forgot to put this in earlier today....
I awoke about 5:58 a.m. this morning in an extremely uncomfortable position, with my usual increadible urge to run to the bathroom to pee! However, I layed there for a few seconds because I felt the wierdest sensation...kicking...fluttery kicking.... I officially know now that this is the first I've felt my baby. And, he has been pretty active today. Anytime I sit/lay in an uncomfortable position (uncomfortable for him, obviously) he starts kicking or pushing or flipping...which ever I am feeling! In the sonogram he was doing it all, so he is quite the active one! I am just excited to finally feel some of what he is doing in there. So for now my motto is 'Roll on baby, Roll on!'

Our Sweet Baby Boy

This week has been so exciting since Wednesday when we found out that our baby is a boy. It has sank in now, and I am excited to have a little boy. We have watched the sonogram video about 10 times now, 3 times with family. We like seeing our baby!
I am gaining weight, I've gained 10 pounds total so far, and I'm definately starting to look pregnant. It's like the baby bump just starts showing up, or popping out, so fast! I am feeling better now, and can pretty well eat anything I want to. I still am having occassional nausia, but it is much improved, and I have more energy than I have had so far. But, at the same time I feel more tired because of the added weight. I go to bed at 9 every night and really don't want to get up at 6! I think I could easily sleep 12 hours a day right now, but I don't get that luxury! School seems to be wearing me down, and we've only been back with the kids 2 full weeks! SCARY! I can't imagine how I'll feel in December/January at work.
Lance & I are so excited about this baby. We are talking about names now, but it is definately going to take a WHILE to decide or agree on a name for this baby boy. We seem to have totally different taste in names. The baby received his first gift last night from his Mabe grandparents, a piggy bank! It is really sweet!

It's a BOY! Week #18

Look at the ever GROWING MoMMA!!! 18 weeks worth of GROWING!Finally, I can be proud of this JELLY ROLL!!!
This is what I really look like! LOL! I'm starting to feel a little STRETCHED OUT!!! And, Lots more to come I know!

It's officially a bouncing baby boy growing away in my belly! He was VERY active today during the sonogram, flipping, thumb sucking, and turning. What a cute, sweet experience to have shared today with my hubby. He was so tickled to see that baby! I have to admit I had forgotten about the sex of the baby part once the doctor started the sonogram because I was so busy looking at my baby. Then, our dr. finally asked if we wanted to know the sex, and Lance said Yes, so he said it is without a doubt a BOY! And, we have the only sonogram picture they printed off for us today of his SEX! So, he's a boy, and we are excited! I have to admit, I just had it in my head that it was a girl, I just KNEW I was having a GIRL, but God had other plans, and I know that I will be just as happy and proud of this little baby boy as I would have been a girl. It has just taken me most of the afternoon to get used to the idea of it definatley being a BOY! But, it's perfect because the WESTERN themed room is now BOY COWBOYS!!!

Lance & I went and bought a few things for our baby boy after leaving the doctors office. Our first baby purchases. We bought about 5 newborn outfits, booties, mittens, socks, and hooded towel and wash cloth for bath time. We couldn't resist them, SO CUTE!!! It felt good to finally buy something for our baby.

The doctor recorded the sonogram onto a DVD for us, so I don't have sonogram pictures to post here, but maybe I'll get a video posted soon! Lance took some pics of my GROWING belly tonight when we finally returned, so here they are. We are excited!!!
