Stacy is doing a lot better now. However, they are moving her to another hospital that deals with high-risk pregnancies. Please continue to pray for her health and the baby to be safe and healthy.

Praise God
This afternoon they were able to get Stacy alert enough and felt she is well enough to remove the tube! YAY! She is, as of now, free of the ventilator. I am so grateful and thankful for this news today. God has worked in so many ways in Stacy's life this year, and I pray that she can share her story/testimony one day and help others come to and lean on the Lord. Our God is a mighty God, and he hears our prayers. Thank you Lord for this blessing today! And, they didn't want Stacy to talk for 6 hours after taking the vent out...that's hard for her! So, we are all looking forward to hearing that voice again!!! I can't wait to TALK to you Stacy!!!

Stacy is improving!
Stacy is improving according to her husbands updates. She had a couple days where she really didn't change too much, but then Friday and Saturday had really good days. They are HOPING to start weaning her off the vent today some. We are praying that they can do this. She is still sedated because they do not want her pulling at her tubes, and you can imagine how uncomfortable this must be when she wakes. She is restrained from pulling at them for now. The baby is still looking good, with a good heart rate. All the drugs they have used on Stacy have been safe for the baby. Please keep praying for her continued improvement!

ARDS and Stacy
Some information on Stacy. Stacy suffers from ARDS right now, this is some information I pulled up about it. VERY SCARY! She is still in the same condition right now in ICU on vent. She supposedly tryed to pull her tubes out, so she is being restrained until the tubes come out, bless her heart. Please continue to pray for her.
Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is sudden, life-threatening lung failure. ARDS inflames the alveoli, causing them to fill with liquid and collapse. Once the alveoli collapse, gas exchange ceases, and the body becomes starved of oxygen. ARDS requires treatment with mechanical ventilation or some other form of assisted breathing.
ARDS is a syndrome, not a specific disease. A variety of underlying conditions, from blood-borne infections to major trauma, can cause the characteristic inflammation and accumulation of fluid (edema) in the alveoli (see causes).
ARDS usually develops within 24 to 48 hours of the injury or illness. The duration and intensity of the condition can vary considerably from patient to patient. The mortality rate from ARDS ranges from 35—50%. In most cases, death results from underlying disease or from complications of mechanical ventilation. In patients who survive, normal lung function usually resumes within 6 to 12 months.

Stacy Update
I have a praise to report! My friend, Stacy, was able to be woken up today. They got her down to 40 % on the ventalator and decided they would stop the paralyzing drugs. She woke and was alert! Praise God! They said today she is still probably looking at 3-5 more days on the vent, she is still in ICU, and still in need of our prayers. But, what a praise that she woke today! And, the baby is still doing well. Thank you for all your prayers, keep them coming!

Lock Up Your Daughters!
Our little cutie, Kaden, wore his first 12 month outfit on Saturday. I had put this outfit up for him to grow into, and by the time I tryed it on him Saturday morning, the t-shirt was too small! Oh Lordy, what are we gonna do with this growing boy???
Watch out little girls momma's, my little cowboy is wearing his first pair of Wranglers and cowboy boots! (How precious!)

And, he got tooth #1 through the gum line today, so he is one step closer to taking your daughters out for a steak and then two-stepping! Lock up your daughters, cause our little Kaden is on the prowl! Not only did he get his first tooth, he is in crawling formation, ya'll! Watch out world!
I also would like to report that at the doctor on Saturday morning for his flu shot he weighed in at 23 big ones. Oh MY!

My friend Stacy
Some of you may remember Stacy from this post, or this post, or even this post. Stacy has had a ruff year, with out even considering her current state.
Stacy, is in ICU in a medically induced comma, on a ventalator, with double pnuemonia. She is critical, but as of this morning stable. She is running fever, and they are treating her for both viral and bacterial infections, since they are unsure of just what is in her lungs. As of this morning the doctor says their plan is to leave her like this for 7-10 days, at that point, if she is improving, they will begin to wake her up. She is extremely sick, and needs our prayers. Please pray for God to give mercy on her life. Stacy is also five months pregnant with a little baby boy. As of this morning the baby is doing well. I will keep her condition updated here. Thank you for your prayers.
"A friend loveth at all times..." Proverbs 17:17
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee." Psalms 55:22
"I will pray to the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever." John 14:16

Bridesmaid Saturday
This past Saturday all of us bridesmaids met up with Hilary (the Bride) at Alfred Angelo to try on our dresses. They had a 50% sale on all samples in the store, and we all found a dress! Woo-hoo! $75 is a lot better than $150! I found a beauty! I just need to loose about 5 more pounds before the December 19 wedding.
Here's Miss Hilary with Kaden...
Here's my dress... I LOVE it!!!
The back of this dress is a corset (sp?) VERY sexy!!!
Here's Kaden having some lunch with the girls at Olive Garden...
About to go into the mall...
And, here's a pic of my little cutie!

Labor Day and Baby Baptism
I'm sure it has been noticable, my decrease in blog posts. Well, it's called being a wife, mom and a full time teacher. Blogging was definately something I did as a stay at home mom! Ha!
Let me start with work updates. I am LOVING my new position this year. I am teaching Title 1 Math for 3rd through 5th grades. I pull-out at-risk students for small group and one on one instruction, and so far it is so rewarding and the day goes by so fast! I am enjoying work, and that is a good thing. Now, I have to admit with a new school year, my germ-pobia self has re-emerged. I am a sanitizing freak at school, and a hand washing fool. We had two kids out with the flu already this week and we have not gotten flu shots yet. So far I have had the flu one time per year for each year that I have taught, and yes, I take the flu shot. It just doesn't seem to matter. So, I am HOPING to not get it this fall, as I really want to prevent Kaden from getting sick.
Lance & I are both working like crazy and our schedules are complete opposite. I leave for work around 6:50 a.m. and he has just gotten home from working. He works 12 hours shifts and pretty much sees us bright and early in the morning on our way out the door and his way to bed. We see him on his two days off though, and I am still just so thankful to have him home everyday and not on the road. I will sacrifice for that.
It seems time just slips by and each day turns into the next day and before I know it I am behind on everything. I need the whole weekend just to get caught up and then I still could use a day or two just to rest...Oh!
This past Sunday, we had Kaden's baby Christaning at church. It was the sweetest ceremony, and I know that one day he will appreciate that we did this for him. I can not wait to see him grow and make the decision for himself to follow Jesus. There is truly nothing more important or that could make a parent more proud than to know their child has choosen to follow Christ, and we will wait for the day that Kaden is old enough to make that decision for himself. But, for now Lance and I promise to raise him, teaching him, and guiding him to live a life with Christ. What a special day we had as a family on Sunday.

In this very last picture, I don't think Kaden could look any more like me here!!!

Wedding Bells
My best friend, Hilary, is getting MARRIED! Her wedding is on December 19, 2009, the Saturday before Christmas. I am SO very excited about this wedding and can not wait to help her celebrate. She has gotten her dress, which is GORGEOUS! (I would post a picture here, but won't since that wouldn't be very kosher to show what the bride will be wearing!) I am helping plan a Bridal Shower for October 11. I am busy gathering ideas at this point. I thought I'd share a few ideas here...
First, I want to ask Hilary about this (Wouldn't it be SO cute to have petite fours cakes monogrammed, rather than a traditional shower cake?) They look something like this...
Of Course, they wouldn't be in this color and they would have an H on them for her name last name!
Also, this spread of food looks mighty yummy, again, not in these colors, but you get the idea...
I've got to make a towel cake! It will be more decorated than this one, but you get the idea...
Instead of the traditional punch bowl, I saw one of these that was even prettier and bigger than this one at Beall's for $30 the other night, I need to buy it!
I've got a lot more work to do on this! Here is a couple photos of the happy couple. Ed & Hilary...
And, that is Miss Tilda!
