Bows, Ruffles, and PINK!!!

Ya'll, we couldn't be MORE EXCITED or thankful that this sweet baby to come is a GIRL!!!  We have a lot of work to do, as we have NO GIRL ANYTHING!  I am SO excited about dresses and hair bows and ruffled bloomers!  I have to start looking at GIRL nurseries and GIRL clothes and GIRL toys!  EeeekkkK!  So beyond excited!  And, scared, about the expense of a girl.  Ha!  But, we'll manage.
Kaden is THRILLED!  He wanted a baby sister all along.  He lovingly says that her name will be Harry Potter.  She, of course, will not have that name, but he may call her that!
Here's a picture of me at 19 weeks pregnant with baby girl.  This is taken the night we found out she was a sister!
Here is another picture, that is just a funny.  I took my FFA students to the state capitol this week in Austin.  While we were there the kids do silly poses with the statues outside.  Here is one they wanted of me posing with the lady statue holding a baby.  This is the pregnant pose!  Too funny!  I love these kids.

As a special treat, I got to have lunch at the Capitol Grill with my sister, Tonya, who lives close by.  YAY!  Made the day so special.  Here is a picture of us at about 19 weeks(me) and 21 weeks(her)!  She had her sonogram that day, so I got to see a picture of her baby.  But, they did not find out what they are having.  They are having a Gender Reveal party and not finding out until then, March 10.  Isn't she beautiful?  I hope she is having a GIRL as well.  And, look at her PINK shirt she is wearing on her sonogram day!  :)

Speaking of PINK, I got to have lunch with my best friend, Hilary, on my birthday.  Which was the day before our sonogram.  Hilary brought me a pink onesie as a gift!  I think it is so neat how everyone thought it was a girl, and it actually turned out to be a baby girl.  Everyone is so excited.
Just so you know, baby girl, everyone thinks you will have red hair just like your Momma.  (We will see!  But, I hope so too!)  Or like Kaden!  I think we would be surprised if you were not red headed after Kaden.  I love me some red headed babies, so cute!
Also, baby girl, I have been craving and eating almost every day for two weeks now something with sliced jalapenos on it.  So weird, because I do not ever eat them or like them even.  I love them now.  I've been having nachos, hamburgers, etc.  all with jalapeno slices.  LOVE them!  I think you'll like Mexican food.
At your sonogram on Thursday, February 23, 2012, you weighed 9 ounces.  You are really starting to grow this week.  Mommy is having stretching and growing pains, as well as increased lower back pain.  Getting hard already to get my tennis shoes on in the mornings.  I can't wait to meet you sweet girl!
No names yet.  Just starting thinking about it seriously since we know you are a girl.  Maybe soon!
This is your silly big brother, Kaden...
He went to a livestock show with Daddy and I and observed his big cousins showing their lambs.  So guess what he did all on his own when he got home?  He showed a lamb for us!  What a funny and silly boy!

Kaden, you make us laugh so hard these days.  Your a HOOT!  Mommy and Daddy love you so!

Pregnant Sisters

***I fixed Kaden's third birthday post, it was messed up pretty good, go view it again here.  Not sure what the deal was with the pictures!  It is fixed now.

My sister Tonya and her family were able to come to our house last weekend for Kaden's birthday.  I am so thankful to have her in Texas again!  I love spending these special times together.  We missed way to much the last several years, and now we are making up for it.  Tonya helped me get everything ready for the party, I am so thankful and we had so much fun just hanging out.
My Mom wanted to take some pictures of her two pregnant daughters.  We are a week apart!  Both July due dates.  It's gonna be so fun!  Tonya was 17 weeks in these pictures, I was 16.  These are so fun!

I can't wait to do more shots at about 30 weeks together!!!  We are both so excited about our babies to come, and both are pulling for girls.  We will know this month, boy or girl, for both of us.  So excited to know.  What are the odds that we both have a girl?
This is my Mom with both of us.

Please remember my sweet Granny in prayer this week as we all face the death of my Uncle Teddy, her baby boy.  Also, please remember my Aunt Connie with loosing her husband of 37 years, and my cousins as they grieve the loss of their Daddy, and the children, as they grieve the loss of their Papa.  And, my Mom as she lost her baby brother.  And all the rest of us who lost a wonderful uncle and friend.

Third Birthday Party Day

Kaden's actual 3rd birthday was on Thursday, February 2, and Lance and I both had to work.  So hubby had went and bought cupcakes, a card, and a balloon for Kaden's birthday morning.  So, at 6:30 a.m. Kaden had a cupcake for breakfast.  He got to spend the day with his grandparents, and they had a cake and gift for him too!  This is a picture of his third birthday morning before we went to work with his birthday balloon.

Kaden's party was on Saturday, the 4th, which is Daddy's birthday too!  We brought Kaden home from the hospital on Lance's birthday three years ago.
My Mom completely outdid herself making a tractor themed cake for Kaden's party.  He requested a tractor cake, and Nana delivered.  This is Nana building the cake, step by step.

After Mom completed the tractor assembly, my sister, Tonya, decorated the cake.  She is so talented as well.  This cake turned out amazing!  I am so thankful for both their work on this cake.
Kaden had so many people come help celebrate his birthday.  I think we had 33 people here total!  Kaden is such a blessed little boy!

I loved watching him blow those candles out, he was SO excited about the candles!

All of us, looking the wrong direction.  Ha!
My sweet sister outdid herself helping me get ready for this party.  I am so thankful to have her!  We had so much fun hanging out.

Our Baby is THREE!

How on earth is our baby boy THREE years old today?

Where has the time gone and why does our baby boy have to grow up so fast?  I know I've heard every parent say this my whole life, but now we really know what they mean.  We are learning to savor every day, every stage, every age.  Because life just goes by way to fast.

Kaden Angus, you crack us up with your personality.  Your Daddy and I laugh all the time at the things you say and do.  We can't wait to see what you'll do or say next.
You are so smart.  You love to read books and watch your favorite movies, Bambi, Dinosaur Train, and Olivia.  You love to write and draw on paper.  And paint, you would paint all the time if I would let you.  You love to cook and want to help me cook every meal.  We have made cupcakes together, as well as pancakes, waffles, breakfast, fried pork chops ( you love to batter them), and anything else I will let you help with.
If you could you would live outside.  You hate coming inside at night when it gets dark.  You are perfectly content to play outside the entire day on Saturdays and Sundays.  You never get tired of digging holes, raking, feeding the donkies, or setting gopher traps with Daddy.  Speaking of outdoors, you and Daddy had this deer come right up to our back yard and eat some feed last weekend.  You got to rub that buck!  You loved every second of it!

Kaden, you are such a healthy little boy and we couldn't be more thankful.  You weigh 40 pounds and wear size 4T clothes.  You wear a size 12 shoe, and get a hair cut about every two weeks.  You love Mrs. Janeen, the lady that cuts your hair.  She gives you a ring pop, and you love going to see Mrs. Janeen.  You have been potty trained since last July, you never have accidents, and you are so good about going on your own now.  Your even starting to pull up and down your clothes on your own to potty.  I am so proud of you!  Now, if we could just get you to sleep in your own bed.

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY KADEN ANGUS!

Your Daddy and I love you to the moon and back little boy!
