Everybody had to get some baby Kallie love! She started smiling the day before the celebration, so she was showing off some skills to Aunt ‘B’.

Larry & Lana Mabe’s 50th Anniversary

Lance’s Dad and Mom celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 24, 2012. We all celebrated with family and friends at their house on the Sunday after with grilled hamburgers and a cake and ceremony. I thought it all turned out great!

These two are better known to us as Grand Daddy and JJ. That’s what Kaden calls them! :)

2 Months Old!

Miss Kallie Ann turned two months old on Thursday, September 13th.

And, seriously, how can you get any cuter than this?

Kaden Angus sure thinks she is sweet.

All of us are in love with this pretty face.

Kallie Ann, you just keep getting sweeter everyday. 

Your sweet smile just melts my heart.

You and Momma are having so much fun dressing up with big bows each day.

Your two month well visit went well considering you had to get 5 vaccinations, which is never a pleasant experience for baby or Momma.  I can’t hardly stand it!  You got 4 shots ( 2 in each thigh) and one oral vaccination.  It hurt your feelings pretty good that you got shot. 

At your well visit you were:

* 23 1/2 inches long, that’s in the 75 percentile.  You have grown 2 1/2 inches in two months!  You are so long!  Only half an inch away from 2 foot! 

* You weighed 11 pounds, 12.5ozs, that’s in the 50-75percentile.  You have gained 2 pounds, 10.5 ozs in two months.  These percentages are very different from your brother who was always 90-95-100 percentile in all areas from birth until now, he has always been huge.

*Your head measured 40 cm.  That’s in the 90th percentile.

Your doctor says you are healthy and thriving.  We are so excited that you are such a healthy and happy baby.

The only issues you have had since birth are:

- A clogged tear duct.  Mommy massages that daily, and you did have to do a week of antibiotic drop for a bacterial infection in that eye.  (Left eye)

-Newborn Nasal congestion, very normal, and your brother had the same thing.  Lots of saline and bulb suctioning.

-A few birthmarks that scared Momma.  But, they are all normal and should eventually probably go away.  You have a large strawberry birth mark on top of your head that didn’t show up for a couple weeks after birth.  It is still getting bigger and darker right now.  Doctor says it is a birthmark, it will get bigger before it gets better.  Luckily, it’s right on top of your head and your hair will cover it anyway.  Your other birthmarks are red markings on your right eyelid and the back of your neck. 

-Problems eating.  You are getting better everyday.  Your swallow latch prevented you from being a good breast feeder and Momma switched you to formula only after 4 weeks.  You are slowly but surely becoming a good eater, but the bottles are even hard for you.

Other than these things, you have been a perfect baby.  You are so easy to take care of.  You only cry if your hungry, wet, or sleepy.  You sleep good.

You are now at 2 months sleeping through the night.  I am a lucky Mom!  You have been sleeping 6-8 hours at night for a couple weeks now.  After not having ANY sleep at night for almost 8 weeks I really appreciate this change. 

Daddy, Kaden and Mommy were all at your well visit with you.  This is Bubba singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to you.  He loves you so much! 

Big Brother brought you your Pink Bear to give you for your first shot day.  He got his Blue Bear at his 2 month well visit, too!

Daddy was there to comfort you after your shots.  You love your Daddy!

Momma had so much fun dressing you up for a 2 month picture!

This sweet pink dress was from Peepaw and Granny Cay.  This will be your first Sunday dress for church this week when you go for the first time.  The Angel baby is from Jill.  So sweet!

I think you look a little mad in this picture, and you probably were.  I think you look like your big cousin Emily here.

I just don’t think you could get much sweeter!  I am so in LOVE with you little girl!

You know, they say, “Save the drama for your Momma!”  You certainly show me the drama when I try to dress you up like this and take your pictures!  But, seriously, I am LOVING the bow bigger than your head!   :)  I think your Aunt Tonya bought this outfit for you.  But, your brother picked out the bow.  He LOVES the big bows too.  He thinks your so pretty.

We all think your pretty precious around here.

You definitely had enough of outfit changes and pictures by the time we got to this point.  Oh Well! 

Happy Two Month Birthday Baby Girl!  It’s going by so fast, We love you!

Kallie's Newborn Photo Shoot

These beautiful portraits were taken when she was one week old exactly.  They are professional, and the session was scheduled for four hours, I think we took three.  She was really good, and slept the entire time, just what we wanted.  The lady who took them, Meredith Oakes, does amazing work.

I am in LOVE with that wrinkled up lip! 

This is the picture we chose for her birth announcement.  If you didn't get one in the mail, please don't be offended, we only were allowed 20 announcements, and we have a BIG family.  Our package was very pricey!  We couldn't afford more than that, and I haven't had time to make additional ones.  Our sleeping angel.
These next shots start the fun poses.  I. LOVE. THEM. 

I seriously think I should enter these in a prettiest baby contest!  :)

I wanted this one taken since she was born in July!  Watermelon and ants!

I think it is so sweet the way she is propped up on her arms.  Amazing to me that they were able to do this with a newborn.  That's why they make the big money.

This One Eyed Monster is Daddy's favorite!

This is one of my favorites!  All curled up sleeping.

This one is different.  But, I like it for so many reasons.  Look at her position.  It's like she's asleep and falling over when you first drift off to sleep sitting up. 

I think this one just shows how beautiful she is.  Such a sweet baby!  I love this pose.

And, the grand finale!  The baby bed sleeping pose.  I love this, but I have a feeling she'll hate it one day. 

Meredith did a fabulous job, as you can see.  But, be prepared to pay for what you get.  This session almost broke us, but I am so thankful we did this.  I wish I could afford another session with her each month.  But. maybe at a year!
