Hospital Visit #2

Yesterday started off well with me and baby Kaden. I awoke motivated. I bathed Sadie (our little dog), then bathed myself, got dressed, and fed all our outdoor critters (donkey, cat). I then worked a little around the house cleaning and organizing. I layed down to nap about 1:30 p.m. feeling really tired. I awoke at 3 p.m. with severe back pain. I was having contractions, and it was killing my back. Contractions in my back! I tolerated it for an hour or so by walking around the house trying to change positions to get it to go away. It didn't. So, I called Mom and she started over to my house. I called my doctor around 3:45 and he said for me to go into the Labor & Delivery and get checked. Mom & I decided to go on in and get me checked, we left my house around 5:15 p.m. They observed me and little Kaden in triage for about an hour and a half. The performed a NST (Non-Stress Test) and the baby is doing GREAT! Average heart beat of 145 BPM, and my doctor says he looks GREAT! As for me, I am having contractions but they are still early labor and unfortunately for me I am not dialating yet. I am still 75% effaced (100% means my cervix is completely thinned out) and I am still closed. So, we got sent home after a shot of Dem. and Phen. for the back pain. He told me it would help me relax and sleep which is what I need to do. So, off we went home at 7:20p.m. I did get more sleep than normal last night. I am still hurting this morning though, so we will wait and see. I go to the doctor tomorrow morning for my 38 week visit. 2 weeks and 1 day until February 4, 2009!!! As we continue to wait on Kaden to join us...
