We have been busy!

I feel like the past two weeks have been busier than my regular work schedule. I have worked my first two weeks of summer away! This all started by my being hired a couple weeks ago to be the lead agriculture science teacher at a local high school. And, I was hired on a twelve month contract, which means no more summers for me! I will only be off about two weeks or so in the summers. My excitement though far outweighs the fact that I no longer get my whole summer off. I will be teaching Intro. to Agriculture ( 2 sections of this freshman level ag course), Horticulture, Advanced Animal Science, and Forestry. I LOVE this teaching schedule. The last two days I have been working on getting our greenhouse supplies together to get it built and up and running. That has been quite the job. I officially start getting paid for my work on July 1st, and that is when I will physically start the greenhouse, but until then I am planning, etc.
I am still in disbelief that I am now an ag teacher! I have wanted to do this job since I was in high school. This is why I went to college and majored in Agriculture Science. I have interviewed for ag positions every year the last five years and the right opportunity just never presents itself. But, God finally worked my career path out, after MUCH waiting and discouragement on my part. I can already look back on this and see God working. He had exact reasons for my other teaching positions for my life. For one, if I had not taught 6th grade, I would have never met Lance, I met him at my former school while he was picking up his niece and nephews from school. Also, if I had not had my position the last two years that allowed me to have an easy schedule and lots of time off I could have never had Kaden. God knew what He was doing. Sometimes it's just hard to see when you want something else. My biggest lesson from all of this is learning to be patient with God's plan for my life. He knows my plan, and I have to trust Him with it.
I am so thankful for my new teaching position, and very excited to get started. I am so lucky to have my husband, who is also extremely excited for me to finally have my dream come true and he supports me one hundred percent with this career. My parents and in-laws also support me and are so excited for me. They are all willing to do what it takes to keep Kaden for me while I work. I am BLESSED beyond measure with my family.
