Easter 2012 Continued…

On Good Friday I attended a special service that evening all by myself.  It was really good and only about six other ladies in my church showed up, so it was good that I went alone.  After the service we watched The Passion of The Christ movie.  I am so glad I watched the movie again, I had seen it several years ago when it first came out in the theatre.  I had forgotten how powerful and violent and emotional the movie is.  It is definitely rated R for a reason.  I would not recommend that any children or youth see it.  It is definitely a movie for people who have a firm understanding of Jesus, his life, his death, his resurrection, and the Bible in general.  It is very POWERFUL and wonderfully made, but I would caution young people until they are fully comfortable in their beliefs and knowledge of Christ.  It was very neat to watch the movie of Jesus’s Crucifixion and then celebrate Sunday morning his Resurrection. 

On Saturday for lunch we went to my Uncle Freddie and Aunt Linda’s house for the Fisher family Easter.  Kaden’s second egg hunt.  Lots of cousins to play with!  Kaden had a great time!

My first cousin Tammy’s little boy, Michael.  He is taking guitar lessons and played some tunes for us.  He is really good.  Kaden was dancing to it!  And Kaden requested that he play some rock n roll!  Ha! 

This is Michael’s sister, Hailee Brooke, isn’t she gorgeous?  She graduates high school this year.  So hard for me to believe.  She was the first great grand baby for my Granny and Papa, and I remember being at the hospital when she was born.  I was 13!  I would tote Hailee bug around when she was a baby.  I adore her.  She has turned into a beautiful young lady inside and out who makes great choices and loves the Lord.

Hayden’s Easter Party 2012

Kaden has got the egg hunting thing down now, finally, at three years old!  Plus he got to hunt eggs three times this year.  Our Easter week began with a Easter Party Egg hunt/ play date at our friend Hayden’s house.  Megan did a good post about that party you can read about HERE. 

Megan always has the best FOOD at her parties and the best friends for us Momma’s to socialize with, and we all have kids the same ages to play with each other.  What will we do when they grow up and don’t want to play anymore?  So sad to think about!!!  And so hard to imagine all our babies growing up.

Look at that stack of eggs!!!  He did have Easter grass in his basket half way though.  I learned not to do that again for the other 2 parties because he couldn’t get many eggs in his basket.What a good little hunter!

I am so thankful Kaden and I got to attend this party this year, we have been invited in the past, but I am always working when the party happens, this year we finally got to go!

Bits & Pieces of our days lately…

Grandpa & Nana brought this little boy a load of sand for his new sandbox!  He loved helping and he has spent so much time digging and playing in that sand box.

I did this little jewelry project a few weeks ago, which I totally stole the idea from my friend, Megan.  Thanks for the idea friend!

Who knew a girl could have so much jewelry pilled up?  Now I can wear it, because I can see it and find it!  And, I have plenty of room to add more…ha!

My wonderful husband and son have been on a mission to plant new trees all around our house this last month.  We have several new trees planted in hopes for more shade around the house in the years to come. 

Kaden man is quite the digger.  He LOVES it and will just dig holes in our yard, so we try to get him to do some productive digging when Daddy needs holes dug.

I felt like we needed some color on our porch and in the front yard for spring and summer.  So, we picked some of these pretty petunias and mixed flowers at Lowe’s.  A pregnant girls quick fix for color without all the work.

Isn’t it funny how a little color can make you feel so much better?  And, make your house look so much more cheery. 

Back to the tree planters… 

I sure do love this DIGGIN boy!!!

Lance made this strawberry planter for me out of an old watering trough.  I can’t wait to have our own strawberries growing!
