Happy Halloween everyone! We bought Kaden's costume over a month ago and have been so excited to dress him up in his teddy bear suit and take him around to see all his Grandparents today. But, it isn't gonna happen! Kaden and I both got sick yesterday. I worked all day yesterday with a sore throat and drainage and sneezing, and Kaden sneezed his head off and had a runny nose and was fussy all day yesterday. So, as of this morning we both feel really bad. I just want to curl up in bed and sleep, but only get to do that when Kaden decides to cooperate which so far hasn't happened today. He may not feel good but he's going 90 to nothing today. I'm really sad that he isn't getting to participate in his first Halloween!
I know he may not look to sick here, but he is....
Here's one of the snot coming out of his nose, grinning and his TWO bottom teeth he now has in!
Momma and Kaden both sick and still in our pajamas...I wish I had some footed pj's...
Off we go....
CRAWLING EVERYWHERE! Getting into EVERYTHING!
Makes this silly face all the time while crawling or concentrating on something...

Sneezing...
Playing in his crib...

He LOVES these little books, so much that he has torn them apart...

It's Monday!
Monday mornings are just not to much fun around here anymore. I'm just getting into the groove of being at home all the time with Kaden again when it is Monday morning again and time to go back to work. Plus, it was rainy today. I just wanted to stay in bed. But, I did have a great highlight to start off my Monday morning. Today was weigh in Monday. One week of the Shred workout and walking everyday and eating right! It's been HARD to avoid all my junky foods I have gotten into the habit of indulging in. But, I did it. I can't tell you how many bananas and apples i have eaten this week. When ever I get hungry between meals or need something sweet (a craving) I eat a piece of fruit. And, it works! The workout is going well and I am feeling like I am making progress with it at last. I also walk the hour of my conference period at work around the high school track. (Except today in the rain I had to walk the halls)
I LOST WEIGHT THIS WEEK YA'LL! I was SO afraid to weigh in because I was so afraid I hadn't lost anything! But, I weighed in at 148.4 this morning! Yip-he! Remember, I started one week ago at 151.8. That means I lost 2.4 pounds this week! I was SO excited to see the scale register UNDER 150. Whew! What a relief. And, it really motivated my workout for tonight. I just hope it continues to come off this well in the weeks to come. I am keeping in mind that my goal for now is three more weeks of this and to loose 5 pounds total. So, hopefully, I'll get there!
Here are some pictures of my little cutie. We had a pre-Halloweeen trial run Friday night. Our school in our community had a Fall Festival and we dressed Kaden in his bear costume. These pictures are at J.J. and Granddaddy Mabe's house.

Kaden is B-U-S-Y these days...

I hope you are all off to a great week!

Shredding Again!
Oh Yeah, after a four month "BREAK" from excercising and eating right, I am FINALLY back on track. If you recall in April/May and June I did the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels, and walked 3 miles almost every day and ate correctly and drank tons of water. Well, it worked because I lost 6 pounds then. However, since July, I got really off track with what was going into my mouth and what I was doing for excercise, if any. I've been trying to motivate myself to get 5 more pounds off for Hilary's wedding on December 19th (so I can breath in my dress!) I officially started on Monday October 19, and I weighed in at 151.8. So, I have completed three days of the shred, walked/jogged 2 miles each day, and eaten correctly. So, I have 27 more days to go on my 30 day shred. No weekends off. Straight through 30 days! My main problem area is my belly. I just have this huge jelly roll after having the baby, and I kept telling myself it will get better. But, it isn't getting better. So, I'm crunching to get it to go away. My goal is to be 5 pounds lighter, OR have a way smaller jelly roll at the end of my 30 day shred. I am putting this here so that I will hold myself accountable to weigh in and keep eating right and working out! It's not easy! I've never in my life had to loose weight before, I've always eaten whatever I've wanted and been THIN. I guess this is just another reason how babies change eveything. But, I wouldn't trade a ripped abdomen for my Kaden, he is worth every bit of this. I'll update my weight and progress on Monday, that will be one week. P.S. My pre-pregnancy weight was 137!!! (That seems so far away from where I am now.) I'm just so ready to NEVER see 150 when I get on the scale again, get me out of the 150'S NOW!!!

Punkin Pie
Lance & I call Kaden, Punkin' Pie, like it or not, we do. And, we happen to love it. I joke that someone will one day ask him what his name is and he will say, "Punkin Pie" Ha!

Friday Night Highlights
Boy oh Boy has it been a while! What have we been up to that kept me tooooo...busy to post pictures of my little cute Kaden?
Well here goes:
We've been throughing fits: (just occassionally, but boy, when he does it, he does it right)
Which leads to this: (Oh, Yeah, Nana your SWEET Kaden does do this!)
(I'm sorry, ya'll, but you've got to admit those pictures are pretty funny!)
We've been cutting teeth....(Oh, Yeah, check this out!)
That same baby that was just throughing a fit can be REALLY happy to, seconds apart!

We have been eating lots and lots of Stage 2 baby food! He LOVES it all, I haven't found anything this kid won't eat! In this next picture he is laughing at his Great Granny (My Granny Fisher) He LOVES her, and thinks she is so funny!
Another tooth shot...
We've been trying on and wearing lots of cute clothes. Kaden is wearing some 12 month, (most are too small) and 18 and some 24 month clothes now, CRAZY for an 8 month old!

We heart footed pajamas and would like for it to get cold so he can sleep in them...

Kaden is CRAWLING all over the HOUSE! He can go anywhere he wants and get into everything he wants as well. Our days of putting him on a pallet to play and expecting him to stay there are now over. It is a GREAT adventure and he has us laughing like crazy these days. He also waves bye-bye and it just melts your heart. He's a sweetie!
I have been going crazy the last couple of weeks, I am just SO tired from work! It seems I never get caught up at home with things and I feel like I do not get enough time in with Kaden or the hubby.
Oh Yes, here are a few pics from Hilary's Bridal Shower last Sunday.
Towel Cake I made:
Utensil Flower pOt I made:
Food table I sat up:

I KNOW I TOOK MORE PICS THAN THIS, BUT THEY DISAPPEARED FROM MY CAMERA, SO I DO NOT HAVE A SINGLE PICTURE OF MY BEST FRIEND AND I AT THE SHOWER. :(
