Kallie Ann at 7 months old

Your Nana kept you one day at our house and played dress up with you while Momma was away.  She took these sweet pictures of you in your bassonet. 

 

During your seventh month you were working on getting your first tooth through the gum line on the bottom.  Look at that first tooth.  This was during Leah’s baby shower at her house.

The week of Valentine’s in February, Daddy fed you plain rice off a spoon, and you loved it!  Real food here you come!  You have loved everything we have ever put in your mouth!  (Just like Kaden!)

Momma thought that you finally had enough hair for a tiny bow!  I love this grinning picture of you!

 

You and Kaden love each other so much.  You always want to be near him.  You both are crazy about each other.  It is the sweetest thing to watch you to as brother and sister.

Kaden’s 4th Birthday!

Kaden wanted Batman for his birthday, so he got Batman!  We took him to Party City one day after a very scary doctors visit from the big scare that all ended up fine with the oncology/hematology doctor.  So, we let him pick his birthday stuff there.  This is what he wanted!

We went very easy this year with cake and cupcakes from the grocery store case.  We fed everyone chilidogs, chips and dips and ice cream.

We can not express the LOVE we have for this sweet boy.  He just has our hearts is all I can say, since the day he arrived he has been so very special to us and it just keeps getting more and more special the older he gets.  The weeks around his birthday were hard and emotional with the big health scare for him.  We are so very grateful and thankful to have our healthy and happy 4 year old.  So hard to believe it’s been 4 years since you were born.

Kaden you mean the world to your Momma and Daddy and Sissy.  We love you with all our hearts and we are so proud of you.

February 2013 Recap

Obviously,  I will have a seperate 4 year birthday post for Kaden!  Geez, can’t believe I got this far behind on blogging!

The kids and I took a road trip down to Angleton, Texas to one of my very best friends baby shower.  Kallie was working on her first tooth on this trip!

While we were in Angleton, Daddy got to deliver at the Walmart there, so we got to eat breakfast with him.  It was a fun surprise!

Kaden LOVED this swing made out of an old tugboat rope.  I took some maternity pictures for Leah and Kacey while we were there.

Bad Bloggy Mom!

Wow!  It’s been four months since I blogged anything!  I couldn’t ever remember my password!  CRAZY!  I tell you, I have really fallen off the wagon with posting since baby #2 arrived last July!  I’m going to ***TRY*** to start getting caught up and post more regularly.  Just because I don’t post it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening or I’m not taking pictures, because I am taking LOTS of pictures of this little sweetie!

This picture is at Grand Daddy and JJ’s house back in early Spring and the grass was so beautiful and green. 

Oh the miles he has put on this green machine!  (No we don’t make him wear the helmet, he wanted too!)

Meet Patrick, Kaden’s little horse.  He LOVES Patrick and he LOVES to ride!  And, Grand Daddy loves that Kaden loves horses.

I swear this baby Kallie should be making commercials or something!  She is such a beautiful girl!

What do I love about a three, almost four year old?  That dress up never gets old and has no limits.  And I love this little boy and his imagination.

This little girl is mighty sweet as well.  She is getting so busy all the time.

Montana’s Toy Drive

The Toy drive in memory of Montana was such a beautiful experience.  We collected toys from friends and family for a couple months leading up to the Anniversary date of Montana’s death.  Each donation meant the world to us.  Thank you so much for your farm toy donations.

The week of our scheduled toy delivery, was the week Kaden got sick and had to spend so much time at the doctor/hospital.  Which made this experience even more near and dear to my heart.  Kaden wanted to go with us to deliver the toys to the sick kids at the hospital.

The hospital gave Chloe a special book and spoke to her, it was very sweet.  Chloe was so excited about the day and to give all those toys in memory of her baby brother.  Kim did well.  I was hard for her, but good for her at the same time.

Thanks to our wonderful friends and families, we donated almost 200 new farm themed toys, books, and games.

What a great way to celebrate Montana’s sweet little life.

We took Chloe and Kaden ice skating after we delivered the toys.  Fun to watch Kaden learn how to ice skate.

A Big Scare!

The last week of January Kaden had huge lymph nodes in his neck and other parts of the body.  We took a trip over to Children’s Medical City, and it ended up his cause for the lymph nodes were unknown.  He started a strong course of antibiotics, and the hospital recommended he see a hematologist/oncologist because his blood levels.  It was scary seeing the referral written out for our child to go to an oncology/hematology doctor.  The follow up was a few days later in Dallas at Texas Oncology.  The doctors were amazing.  The facility amazing.  And, we ended up with all good news.  Nothing bad like lymphoma or lukemia, praise the Lord!  But, the cause for the swelling in his lymph nodes is unknown.  We are to go back and have blood drawn again to ensure his levels are back to normal.

This all happened just a few days before his 4th birthday.  Lance and I were so scared. 

After this little boy having to have blood taken three days in one week, we had to have some fun to make up for all the scary/painful stuff.  Kaden was so brave and good.

We were so relieved and thankful for good news for our little man.
