Smile for me my Texas baby...

We, of course, took pictures in the bluebonnets last weekend. How can we claim to be Texan otherwise? They didn't turn out great, but these are my favorites!

Good Friday, Tummy Time, and Stuffing Eggs

Photobucket

My focus this morning is on Jesus's suffering for me, and for you. By reading John 19 again this morning, I realize the pain, suffering, and humility that Jesus must have suffered. The soldiers who abused Jesus, mocked him, after placing a crown of twisted thorns on his head and pushing it down they mocked him, calling him the "King of the Jews!", and they struck him with their hands. This was only the beginning of the pain that Jesus would endure before his crusifiction. I cry when I think of the aweful things that Jesus suffered to die for us.
It is very important to me to study and remember the death of Jesus in order to prepare myself for the resurection of Jesus on Easter morning. The life that was brought to each and every one of us who chooses to believe in His death for our sins and resurection. Praise Jesus for this miracle of events!
Kaden & I have been busy this morning. His J.J. came over for a couple hours and watched Mr. K while I made my lesson plans for next week. Then, K has been practicing tummy time. We have been doing tummy time a lot the last couple weeks. He doesn't enjoy it so much! At first I was just propping him up on my boppy pillow. He has started eating his hands the last couple of days.

But, this morning I decided to get out his tummy time play mat that my good friend Sarah gave us. He likes it a lot! The bright colors and noises it makes. Thanks Sarah!

While Kaden practiced tummy time, mommy stuffed Easter eggs for our two egg hunts we will be attending.

Of course, Kaden won't be hunting, but we are taking stuff for the other kids. Tomorrow we go to J.J.'s and Sunday we go to my Granny's after church.

Surviving School!

I know, I know, you all want to know how it's going....my being back to school! Well, it's going. That is honestly how I feel. Today was my third day to work and it is honestly getting harder to leave him each day instead of easier. I feel more and more each day like I am missing so much. It's really hard to be away from Kaden all day, even though I know with out a doubt that he is in good hands with his J.J. and Nana.
My first day back in the classroom was terrible. My room had been destroyed. All my supplies were gone. Things were broken. My room was filthy. And, my sub was a person with a principal certificate. (Who hopefully doesn't read my blog...Ha!) For that matter hopefully no one in my district reads my blog. I haven't told anyone at school about my blog. But, if they do, oh well! Just speaking the TRUTH!
PLUS, people just weren't friendly on Monday. No one asked about the baby or anything! CRAZY! Then, yesterday I had to give the TAKS test, what fun! People were a little nicer yesterday, and started to ask about K. Then today, I had excellent lessons planned for all my classes all day, and it was so great to actually TEACH all day. I didn't wait around for anyone to speak to me today, or to ask about K, I just stuck a photo album in front of them all. Forced my sweet baby pictures on them all! Ha! Tomorrow is Thursday, and my last day to work for the week. Then, it is good quality Kaden time and hopefully catch up on some sleep time.
I have had a few different opportunities present themselves this week professionally. That is all I am going to say about that at this point. Please be in prayer about my career path for next year. I know that God will work it all out, he always provides for me.
We are excited for Easter Sunday, except that it is supposed to rain. Kaden has a little upset tummy this evening and I am hoping he doesn't have a stomach virus, I do not like him being sick at all. It worries me greatly. Hopefully, he'll be better soon!

First Sunday and Back to Work

Lance and I went to church services this morning and took Kaden for his first day in church. It was GREAT to be in church on Palm Sunday and even better because Kaden was SO good. He slept and just looked around the rest of the time. He was quiet and good, YEAH for him! And, YEAH for us! We weren't the annoying people in church with the screaming baby today. But, I know our day will come. We are excited that this is Easter week. We are grateful that our Jesus died and rose again so that we can live our lives more be abundantly. Next weekend our little man will get to have his first Easter and we can go to church!
I go to work in the morning! Please pray for me. That's all I can say about that right now, just pray for me.
Kaden goes to his J.J.'s house tomorrow for his first day away from Mommy. I know he'll do great, and his JJ will do a great job, but boy will I miss him!
Kaden was about a month old in this picture, but I love it. He is talking to his Nana.

Today, Kaden officially is two months old! I obviously looked at things the wrong way the other day thinking he was 2 months on March 31, he was 8 weeks on Monday though! We have had a big week!

Photobucket

I bought Kaden a huggy bear security blanket to give to him after his 2 month well check after getting shots. He needed a softy blanket bear to comfort him. The pediatrician visit was wonderful except for the shots part. He wasn't at all happy about the shots. My poor baby! I just wanted to cry with him. Our new pediatrician is wonderful, we liked her a lot. She has a two month old baby as well. We are very happy with our new doctor. Kaden did really well until about 8:30 last night at which time he started screaming and crying and yelling in pain for a half hour straight. He never stopped for thirty minutes, then when he did stop he moaned like he was in pain. I felt so sorry for him. He slept a lot and didn't have a good appetite last night or today. But, tonight he is getting better.

Photobucket

His mean mommy took pictures of him today while he didn't feel good. Mean old momma!

Mommy has been practicing trying to become a better photographer!

Mo Mo

I have had a really ruff week of missing my Mo Mo. That's Montana Lane. Montana passed away two days before Kaden was born, so it has been two months already. All of my nephews called Montana, Mo Mo, and it had started being his nick name right before he passed. The kids miss him, the adults miss him, we all miss him. I look at his things and cry. Kim had passed on a lot of Montana's things to me for Kaden. I LOVE that I have them, and I am keeping them all to give back to Kimberly for her to do with what she chooses one day.
Montana, has been sending me messages this week. And, some may think that is crazy, but I really have felt it straight from him. While working on Kaden's baby book the other day, I was trimming down pictures to fit in the baby shower section. I was going to cut out the picture of the punch bowl, trim everything out of the picture except the punch bowl, and there in the corner of the picture on the floor is Montana's diaper bag that reads Montana Lane. I had never noticed this before.
Take a look....

So, I was unable to cut the picture down.

Also, my Mom shared a very special relationship with Montana. He LOVED his Aunt Jettie. He called her, "Je, Je" It was the SWEETEST thing to hear! He loved her SO much! My Mom is in a lot of my pictures of Mo Mo, but it's just her hand or a part of her. This is the only picture I have of her holding him, that shows her whole body and his. It's a picture of my shower food table, so it isn't a great picture of the people, but I know Mom will like this...

There are feelings in this world that someone would never be able to explain to you until you are a Mom. I am heart broken for Kim, because I can not imagine the pain she is in missing her precious baby boy. I know now the love of a mother, and it is something that I pray I never get to experience in this life time, to loose a child. I am speechless it hurts so bad to think of the pain she must go through daily missing Montana. With each memory, with each event that reminds her of him, I'm sure there is happiness in the memory and sadness because she misses him so much. He was a PRECIOUS baby.

I stopped at the cemetary for the first time to visit him the other day. All the heifers in the pasture next to his grave came and stood on the fence row and Mooed. I stood out there and would have looked and sounded like a crazy person if anyone would have heard me. I stood there and yelled, "Moo Tow, Moo Tow!" Mo Mo said that everytime he saw a cow. He loved cows. And, now he has LOTS of cows watching over him.

Here's Kim holding her baby boy

Here we go, he has his paci in the mouth and his bottle above his head...lol!

Go to the bottom of my page and stop the playlist of music first, then listen to this video. It is approximately 9 minutes long, and worth the listen.

Watch ">this today, and know that God is working hard to reveal himself to us all on a personal level in our lives. Thank you, Kelly, for this post today.
