Need I say more? I'm hoping to see a little bit of this on my Spring Break....
Kaden and I are looking forward to some quality time together. He is so much fun! I have built in entertainment all the time! We are hoping to get to play with some friends this week, and just relax. If there is sunshine I might WEED flowerbeds, etc. If not, it'll all be inside house work! I have LOTS of projects to tackle. I HAVE to get Kaden pictures printed and filed into albums. My photo printer broke several months ago, up to that point I had kept up with printing Kaden pictures each month. That was month 6 that the printer broke, so I have 7 months worth of pictures to print! And, I have a scrapbook to do, I have all the stuff, I just need the pictures printed and the time! I NEVER thought I wouldn't have time to do these things. I always thought I'd be organized. It's amazing how many things get put on the back burned when you work and have a baby. But, I am hopeful to get a few things tackled this week.
No Rodeo Houston this next week, I had hoped to get to go to the rodeo to visit friends in the Houston area and take Kaden to his first stock show/rodeo, but it just isn't going to happen this spring break. We will definitely get to go and do more this summer when we have longer than a week to travel that far.
Speaking of, summer is getting CLOSER!!! 10 weeks away! Hooray!

Christian Rock Road Show
The Christian Rock Road Show is going to be in Dallas at American Airlines on Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m. I have been SO excited about this show for months now. My husband will definitely be taking me to this show if I can't get a big group together to go. I would LOVE to get all my girlfriends together to go. I listen to THE MESSAGE on XM radio daily, in fact, it's all I listen to except 100.7 Family FM anymore.
If you interested these are some of the bands: Mercy Me, David Crowder Band, Francesca Battistelli, Fee, and Sidewalk Prophets. It is going to be an AWESOME show and great worship time!
Go here to check it out!
Let me know if you want to go!!!

Last Sunday Kaden and I visited at a church where I knew there would be great old style gospel music. And, I was right about the music, however today, we returned to our good ole' Methodist church and loved it. Sometimes it's nice just to go to another church to see how much you really do appreciate/love your home church.
Kaden is doing great. We have all been sick for a couple weeks with cold, crud, sinus problems, but we are better now! Thank goodness! Kaden is teething again. We now have three teeth on top and three on bottom. He just keeps getting them through now. He is eating like a champ and wants a "BITE" of everything he sees us with.
So sorry I have no new pictures to share. I do have pictures, but I can't seem to get them uploaded now that I have no internet available at home.
I completely my 30 days of the 30 day shred last Saturday, only lost 2 pounds. It ended a little disappointing. I really expected better results for my efforts. So, yesterday I bought two more Jillian Micheals workouts at Target. I did the 40 minute workout last night and then this morning, Go ME! IT is SSSSSOOOOO much harder and BETTER than the Shred. I definitely KNOW I will see better results this month. This workout I am doing now is called No More Trouble Zones. That being the muffin top (belly roll), flabby arms (which I don't have), and love handles. Oh Yeah! I am working out again and excited to see these results/changes.
One more week until Spring Break!!! YEAH!!!!!!
Ya'll have a good week!

This post contains no pictures. Just lots of deep thoughts. I have been really focusing more on God's will for my life this year. I have begin to be more sensitive to all the things (people) around me that are broken and horrible and desperately need the Father's healing and love.
As you all know, my new years resolution was to read God's word each day. I have kept that resolution, and it has broken me (in a wonderful way). It has changed my life. It has opened my eyes and my heart to this broken world I live in. I know that there are many good things that are happening in the world as well, but my heart just hurts for all the hurting and all the lost people out there. I have been especially touched by children and their griefs and sorrows this year. Why are so many innocent children and babies sick and dying so innocently and young? I mean I know why, God used/is using them GREATLY to change the lives of the people all around that baby/child. But, I can't help but wonder why? Why am I so lucky to be blessed with a healthy child? Why are some people chosen for destruction and others aren't? I know I have learned so much from others grief and pain and loss. God has softened my heart and made me more sensitive to his spirit through others stories of grief and loss and pain.
God has really spoken to me about hurting children (children in need). For example, there is a lady that I teach with who is in her early thirties, single, a fourth grade teacher, and a foster care Momma. She takes up to four foster children at one time. She actually can only take two now, because she fell so in love with her first two foster children that she adopted them. They are now her two children, and she fosters two more as needed from the state. Today she is getting an 18 month old little girl who has been taken away from her family because of drugs. It ABSOLUTELY breaks my heart for those children who do not have a NORMAL, LOVING, CHRISTIAN, NURTURING household to live in. As much as I love my child, I can not imagine or accept excuses from people who do not care for their own children. God demands in the Bible that we care for the children. This demand has been speaking to my heart a lot this year and I just wanted to share my thoughts. The lady I teach with is doing exactly what God demands of us. She is sharing all that she has and doesn't have to make those babies have a brighter future. I think that is how God wants us to live. Live to serve and help others, even when we don't think we have the resources. God will always provide the resources when you are doing his work.
I feel God is calling me to ACT and to DO MORE for others and to do more to help others, especially children in need. I should be showing God's love through my hands by serving others more. My brain is racing with ideas... and I am praying and learning to listening to God about this matter.

Prayer Request
If you can find it in your heart to pray for this sweet little girl, Layla, and her family, please do so. This story is completely heart wrenching and sad beyond words. Our God has to be bringing lots of healing through this little life.
Go here to read her story and please pray for her right now.
This story has made me bawl my eyes out, and thank god over and over for my healthy baby. We are so blessed.

Kaden's First Birthday Memories and Snow Days!!!
Well, of course, when I no longer have internet access at my house the GREAT things in life happen. Kaden's first birthday was a BLAST! He had a great birthday, with two parties! What more could a little guy ask for?
We had birthday party number one on his birthday, February 2, 2010, at his J.J. and Granddaddy Mabe's house. He wasn't quite sure what to think of the cake, but once he finally got a taste, he was all for it. It was a yellow cake with white icing. I'm not brave enough to try anything else just yet! He smooshed that cake until it was unrecognizable.

He had a GREAT party, and got more gifts than he got for Christmas...Crazy! We even put on the invites no gifts, just happy birthday wishes, yeah right, they bought gifts anyway! :) And, we are so thankful for all the people who love Kaden so much!
The second party was at my Granny Fisher's house for all my side of the family, the following night. So, Kaden had a smash cake two nights in a row. I'm sure the third night he was wondering where his cake was! Ha!

He had fun at both parties and really made a mess of his cake!
One year well visit went well, except the shots part! He weighs 27 lbs, and is 32 inches tall. He is as always in the 95% for height and weight. He's just a big kid! We have started weaning off formula and bottles and onto whole milk. This is a whole nother topic for later. It isn't as easy as I thought it was going to be.
Kaden is wearing size 4 diapers, and pretty much all size 24 month clothes. He can still wear some 18 month clothes, but not many! His Nana (my mom) bought him a new pair of tennis shoes yesterday. Kaden is eating a lot of finger foods and loving all the things he tries for the most part. Kaden, you LOVE bananas, mandarin oranges, pancakes, scrambled eggs, animal cookies, oyster crackers, cheese, whole milk, orange juice, apple juice, water, biscuits or rolls, tiny pieces of chicken, you love grilled veggies with mommy and daddy, and your still a big fan of your yo baby yogurt. You really like to feed yourself now, and the dogs!!! The dogs are in love with you, because they get to eat too! You are sleeping 8-10 hours at night in your crib and in your own bedroom. You are a great sleeper. And you usually take two good long naps each day as well. You are walking every where and any where you want now. You love looking out the front glass door at the animals. You have 4 teeth now, two on top and two on bottom and you are getting another top one in right now. So, 5 teeth! Finally, we get some teeth! Your hair is growing and you are finally getting some curls in the back of your hair. You are still red headed and have bright beautiful blue eyes. Everywhere we go people say what a pretty baby you are. They LOVE red headed babies! Your Daddy and I think you are the most precious thing in the world, and you make us laugh so much!
This is Granddaddy Mabe and Kaden and his little friend Savannah at a basketball game last week...

February brought us a huge snow storm in Northeast Texas. We haven't had this much snow since I was a young child, or maybe even ever! It was absolutely beautiful around here. We got out of school on Friday for a snow day, so I really got to get out and photograph and enjoy the beauty of the day.

Kaden liked the snow. He pointed to it, and said 'Bite.' So, we were letting him eat some snow!!!
Lance made a snowman in five minutes or less, that is why it looks so sad. He also made me some snow angels while holding Kaden. Kaden thought it was so funny.
My ten year old dog, Piper LOVED the snow. She has never really seen snow before, and Lance would through snow balls, and she would catch them and eat them. It was a hoot! Sadie, my other dog, wasn't so fond of the snow, as I figured she wouldn't be. She's too much of a Pris!

And, our petting zoo in the snow!
This tree in our front yard is my favorite. It will be covered in purple flowers in about a month and I'm sure I'll post pictures of it again, as I did last year. But, it looked absolutely gorgeous covered in snow.
This is the view from down our county road. Unbelievable for this part of the country. It looks like a card or a picture from somewhere else.
We made some snow ice cream and Kaden got to enjoy his first ice cream and snow ice cream all at once. He like it! Of Course!
The snow melted away as quick as it arrived and we are finally having a good weather day today with sunshine. It got up to 60 yesterday afternoon. I am SO SO SO SO SO SO ready for warmer weather.
The 30 day shred is going great! I am on day 22, I have only lost two pounds total, down to 145, but I CAN WEAR MY PRE-PREGGO JEANS NOW, and they actually don't look like a muffin top hanging out the top of them. SO EXCITING! I have been wearing my old pre-pregnancy clothes the last three days, and it feels SO good! And, it's so exciting, it's like I have a whole new wardrobe again. Some of these clothes I haven't worn in almost two years. Now, I have been following MOMMY BRAIN BLOG about her weight loss and her 30 day shred. She and I are the same size and had about the exact amount of weight to loose. However, I completely disagree with her post this week. The Shred has helped me SO much. I haven't lost more actual weight YET, (only 2 pounds) but my body is toned and I am starting to really see my abs. I've NEVER had abs in my WHOLE life and this program cuts them out on you! I am SO excited about this, as my abs are my problem area. Anyway, I have missed NO workouts and I have even done 2 workouts some days. Go ME!!! I am feeling much better about myself in general, and I am motivated to workout now. When I started seeing results a few days ago, about day 16 or 17 of the workout, I really got more motivated. It was HARD those first two weeks when I wasn't loosing any weight or really seeing any change. But, it has been worth the wait and I am SO glad that I hung in there to see the results that are coming. There is no way I am going to stop doing the thirty day shred when my 30 days is up. This workout system is going to be hanging around and I'm going to be doing it for a while to come!
Just a couple more Kaden moments...
Hangin' out standing on a box...
Playing with Piper... He LOVES Piper
In a birthday gift bag...
In the car with all his babies...I love this one!
Just being cute!
Ya'll have a GREAT weekend!
