Happy Sassy Six Months

I could not wait for the day when Kallie would fit into this outfit that my Aunt Kara and Kari got for her.  And, I almost waited to long!  It barely went on!  I dressed prissy up for a fun photo shoot in the crib for her 6 month birthday.

This flower bigger than her head is what having a baby girl is all about!  I LOVE it!!!

We had your six month well visit this week Kallie.  You are a healthy and happy girl and all went well, except the four vaccines including the flu shot.  Ouch!  The shots made you feel bad for two days afterwards.  Here’s your 6 month stats:

You weigh 18 pounds, 6.5 ozs  95 percentile

You are 28 inches long, 95 percentile

and your head measurements are in the 95 percentile as well.

You wear a size 3 diaper

You wear size 12 month clothes!  Seriously, how did that happen SO fast???  We totally skipped 6-9 and 9. 

You are eating cereal and fruit baby food each morning and stage 2 chicken and rice and veggies at night.  You do pretty good with your baby food, but are picky about what you’ll eat.  You wont eat green beans, peas, squash.  But you love carrots, sweet potatoes, applesauce, pears, oatmeal, chicken n rice, chicken noodle baby foods.  We just started giving you yogurt melts and you like them.

You are sitting independently, rolling over from front to back and back to front, pushing up on front arms and kicking yourself around the floor, mainly you roll.  You are not crawling yet.  You have no teeth yet. 

You are so happy.  You still drink formula bottles (6 ozs) 3-4 times a day.

You sleep through the night, 8-10 hours, I can not complain, you are a great sleeper at night!

You are completely CRAZY about your brother and laugh out loud at him.  You watch every move he makes and you adore him.

You are such a good baby.  Good natured, happy all the time.  A little shy around people, but always willing to smile for them at least. 

This is you all sacked out for a good nap after our photo shoot!  You love your bear pink just as much as Kaden loves his bear blue.

You are so precious to me baby girl!  Happy 6 months!

My Love Bugs

This little boy always wants to go to a “Bag Party” with me.  So, this was fun, when I hosted my own home party this month, I let Kaden wear some of the awards for my hostesses and hold a Cindy Tote for a picture!  He was a great little bag party boy!

That Nana is so creative, she can sit a baby in places I would never think to sit one.  And, she is happy and she plays there.  Go figure!  She liked the laundry basket!

This little girl wears a new outfit everyday, not just because we are fortunate enough to have that many clothes gifted and given to us, but because she grows that quickly.  Seriously, this is a 6-9 month outfit, she wore it once, the next day wore a 9 month top and 12 month leggings. 

I just love this picture because it shows her gummy smile.  Still no tooth at 6 months old, and I just know that this will not last long so I am so happy I got a great gummy smile picture.

This little man is growing at the speed of light as well.  He is getting so big and grown up, so fast.  I can’t believe in just a few days he’ll be 4!  How did that happen?

Sitting Up

She had been working on it really hard, but on New Year’s Eve, Kallie started sitting up all alone.  It instantly made her seem so much older, because now she sits there and plays in the floor.  My baby is growing WAY to fast for me this time.

More Christmas

This is Kallie at 5 months in a 6 month outfit that was 3-4 inches too short in the legs!  She is SO long!  But, isn’t she a cute little monkey here?

Baby girl already LOVES books, I think it is so sweet that her Daddy reads her Cinderella. 

Christmas 2012 Part II

Kallie’s First Christmas, she was 5 months old and loved unwrapping all the paper, pulling at it and trying to eat every bit of paper that got near her mouth.  She loved the paper!

 

And, of course, Bubba was the professional gift unwrapper at his 4th Christmas time!  He loved every minute of Christmas this year.  It was so special to share with him.

My kids where so blessed this year at Christmas by family and friends.  We are so thankful for our families and these sweet babies.

Christmas Remembered 2012

Kallie Ann’s first Christmas!  It snowed on Christmas Day for her first Christmas, wonder if that will happen in her lifetime again, it was a first for my lifetime on Christmas Day.  What a special blessing from our Lord, for beautiful white snow on Christmas Day.  I didn’t get a picture of Kallie in the snow, but I got a few of Kaden making snow angels!  He LOVED the snow!!!

We had no electricity Christmas morning when we woke to open presents, we assume Santa knocked it out accidently.  He said the reindeer liked our donkey’s and got distracted.  :)

Kallie Ann at 5 months and Christmas Program

Little girl, you give bring pure joy to our life.  You are pushing up on your arms and legs, scooting around and rolling all over the place.  You can roll from back to front and from front to back.  You can roll FAST!  Kallie you are getting so big, so fast.  You are wearing size 3 diapers, size 6 and 6-9 month clothes, size 2 shoes, your hair is growing fast now and getting fuller everyday.  It is red and we can’t wait to see it all grown in.  You laugh out loud at your brother only, you love him and will scream out at him in laughter.  You think he is the funniest thing.

Kallie, you are eating baby food.  You like sweet potatoes, applesauce, carrots.  You will not eat green beans, peas, squash.  You gag and spit it out.  You are NOT an eater like your brother was, he would eat anything and all of it, you are picky.  You are still having a 6 oz bottle 4-5 times a day.  You sleep 8 hours at night in your basonette.  You play with rattles, bear pink, and bubba.  You LOVE the Christmas tree.  You LOVe your Momma, you watch me ALL the time.

You are teething, and I just know you’ll have a tooth soon.  You are so different than Kaden was, he never drooled, you need a bib all the time to keep your shirt dry.  He never was fussy with teething, you are.  I love that this picture shows your ‘gummy smile’ because I know you won’t have a gummy smile much longer.  I will miss gummy smiles.

We love you baby girl!  You have made our family so wonderful in just 5 short months.  I can’t even remember life with out you.

Kaden’s Christmas program at Church was this week.  He did such a great job with his preschool class ‘rapping’ his part during the program.  Loved it!  I can’t believe my sweet baby boy will turn 4 in just a month and a half!  Crazy!
