Springtime, Kaden's 5th week, and more random things...

Spring 2009
I look outside after all the bad news this morning of Stacy's baby, and I see renewal of our Earth. God renews and refreshed our beautiful Earth each Spring, and it is amazing to witness. Photobucket (If you'll notice, there are THREE bird feeders in this tree. My husband FAITHFULLY feeds every bird, squirrel, and varmet that comes into our yard.)
Kaden & I have had a few OUTINGS the last few days. Aren't ya'll proud of me???
First of all, our very FIRST trip out to someone else's house was about a week ago, we went to Lance's parents house (with Lance) to visit for a couple hours. They only live about 5 minutes down the road, so we made that our first outing. Second, one of Lance's driving buddies stopped by the house and we went to the winery for dinner with him. We took Kaden!!! His first time to a restaurant, we kept him covered. He was GREAT, slept the whole time. Third, I decided to venture out on my own the other night (with Kaden) and go visit my Dad, after we left there we drove to have dinner with Lance. So, we took him in his second restaurant, we kept him covered, he slept again! What a good baby! (Actually, the car is responsible for the sound sleeping, it knocks him out!) Next, I decided to take him to my Mom's house. And, Nana put him in this doll stroller ! It was toooo funny!5 weeks Too bad Chloe wasn't there to see it and push him around, she would have LOVED that! We then left Nana's house and went by to see my aunt and uncle, who have not met Kaden yet. They loved him!
So, see, aren't ya'll proud of me? I swallowed my fears and got him out. And, the big case of cabin fever I have helped me get out as well...ha!
My baby turned 5 weeks old on Monday. It's hard to believe. He is growing and changing SO fast. week 5 Is this not the sweetest thing in the world???

This is SO true! His bib reads, I just pulled an all nighter!!!wk 5 This next picture shows his first scratch on his face that bled. He scratched himself in his sleep, I picked him up from a nap, and there it was! Also, you can see his pretty blue eyes, I'm not thinking they are going to change colors. I'm starting to think they are BLUE!

Kaden's favorite outfit! He LOVES being in his diaper only! Check out the milk belly on this boy! LOL!wk 5
Have I mentioned that I love his eyes??? They are BEAUTIFUL!wk 5Week 5 happenings: Kaden is cooing! It is the SWEETEST thing to hear! He is also SMILING! It is the sweetest thing ever! (Do I sound like a new mom or what? Ha!) He is staying awake a lot more and looking at EVERYTHING!!! He loves to stare at everything and anything, especially people.

Here is my attempt at photography. (Pretty sad, I know.) I WANT A BETTER CAMERA!

Good for you for getting out! Babies are pretty hardy, despite how small they are, and it's actually a good thing to be exposed to some germs to build up antibodies. :) Kids are going to get sick, and there's not a whole lot you can do to preven the little stuff that goes around (just get the shots for the big stuff!), and you'll be amazed at how well you'll come to deal with that stuff. Sometimes I amaze myself when I can remain calm even when my kids reach a fever of nearly 106!

I would love to see you on Sunday!! Even if you get to say for a second!
